ROMTELECOM

A series of IT networking projects involving a number of requirements for ROMTELECOM were implemented by SYSWARE SYSTEMS INTEGRATION, over the course of a 6 month period. The projects consisted of the following activities:

Solving The Y2K Problem for the Commercial Offices of ROMTELECOM for 41 Counties

This time critical project entailed the delivery of IT equipment with pre-installed operational software, installation, testing, commissioning and the associated maintenance during guarantee period.

Given the criticality of this project prompt deliveries and compliance to strict deadlines were key-elements. This project was handled accordingly by the specialists from SYSWARE SYSTEMS INTEGRATION who completed the project in 10 days for all of Romania.

The specifications of the project included the following: Compaq Servers: Proliant 1600, 15" monitors, Compaq Workstation: EY, 15" monitors, Compaq Laptops: Armada M700 and combo PCIMCIA cards, Microsoft NT sever 4.0 software licenses+ 5 customers, pre-installed Windows NT workstations, client access license installed on workstations and laptops, Microsoft Office 2000 English profile and Microsoft Office Romanian profile

Computing Equipment Endowment for ROMTELECOM Commercial Offices

The main purpose of this project was the delivery of Compaq EY 500 PC's in 45 days to all ROMTELECOM Commercial offices in city-county residences. Additionally SYSWARE SYSTEMS INTEGRATION included training and technical assistance to ROMTELEMCOM employees so as to enable them to integrate the PC's into the ROMTELECOM production process. Additionally, preventive maintenance was also provided. The installation of all PC's at 41 ROMTELECOM sites was completed by SYSWARE in 10 days.

Computing Equipment Endowment for the ROMTELECOM Commercial Offices of Bucharest

This project concerned the delivery of Compaq DeskPro DT P800 PC's to ROMETELECOM Commercial Offices in Bucharest. Delivery and installation of equipment and software was completed by the specialist in SYSWARE SYSTEMS INTEGRATION in 10 days.

Assuring the Connection Between the Regional Warehouses Buildings for Four Cities (Iasi, Cluj, Craiova Si Galati) to the Existent Data Network of ROMTELECOM.

SYSWARE SYSTEMS INTEGRATION performed the design and commissioning of this turnkey project in order to assure the connection of ROMTELECOM's Regional Warehouses located in 4 cities to the existent Data Network of ROMTELECOM. Additionally, SYSWARE SYSTEMS INTEGRATION assured the Data/Voice structured cabling for five workstations from and the leased line connection for Galati.

The deployed project included the delivery, installation and configuration of Low Range Router Cisco 805, Synchronous Short Range Modem ASM31, Synchronous Short Range Modem ASMi50, LAN Switch - Remote Management 16 ports 10/100 MB, RackMount standard 19"/6U, Patch Panel UTP/24

Implementing Pilot Video Conferencing Network

This project concerned the supply and installation of videoconferencing equipment for ROMTELECOM - Telegraph Headquarter. Multi-point connectivity using ISDN and ISDN and IP point-to-point connectivity was implemented.

SYSWARE SYSTEMS INTEGRATION undertook for COSMORON the IT equipment supply and installation of all hardware and software requirements specified by the Marketing, Sales, Technical, Development, Financial Departments, thereby assisting in the development of the company's infrastructure. These requirements included: Compaq Servers: Proliant 1600, Proliant ML 350 & 370, HP Servers: NetServer LC 2000, Rack Closets: Compaq, HP, Imrak, Compaq Workstations: EY Series, EP Series, EX Series, Compaq Laptops: Armada E500, Printers: Xerox, HP, Software: Microsoft, Symantec products.
